Questions
FAQ
How does an engagement typically begin?
It begins with a conversation, usually by phone or video, to understand the situation you are facing and whether the kind of work Rapid Field Horizon does is a reasonable fit. If it seems like it is, we discuss scope, timing, and what on-site access would look like. Nothing is formalised until both sides are comfortable with the shape of the work.
Where do you work, and do you travel to client sites?
Our registered address is in Hamada, Shimane, and that is where post and formal correspondence should go. Most of the work happens at the client's own site, wherever that is in Japan, so travel is part of how we work. Which sites, how often and who bears the travel costs are agreed in writing as part of the engagement scope.
How many engagements can you take on at the same time?
We keep the number of parallel engagements small on purpose, so that each one gets our full attention. Capacity is something we check in the first conversation: if we cannot take on new work when you get in touch, we will say so plainly and talk about whether a later start would suit you.
What industries do you work with?
The practice focuses on manufacturing, logistics, and B2B distribution. Adjacent sectors can be discussed where the operational questions are similar. We do not take on engagements in financial services, consumer retail, or sectors that call for regulatory expertise we do not hold.
Do you give legal, tax or accounting advice?
No. Our work is management consulting: analysis, facilitation and written recommendations about how an organisation operates and plans. Legal, tax, accounting, labour-law and valuation questions, including the regulated steps of a merger or acquisition, belong to licensed professionals such as lawyers, tax accountants and labour and social security attorneys. We can work alongside the advisers you already have, and this website does not claim any professional licence.
What does an engagement cost?
There are no list prices. After the first conversation we send a written quotation that sets out scope, schedule, fee and expenses, and nothing starts until you have agreed to it. Payment methods and timing are stated in that quotation. The Notice under the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions has the details.
