About us

About

A small practice with a field-first method

Rapid Field Horizon is a management consultancy for mid-size Japanese companies in manufacturing, logistics and B2B distribution. We are small by design: we aim for the people you talk to at the start to be the people who do the work, and we keep the number of parallel engagements low enough for each to get full attention.

Our method is simple. Before any analysis begins, we spend time inside your organisation, on the floor and in the meetings, because the most useful consulting happens where the work is done and not in a slide deck. Findings are then written plainly, and any plan is paced to what your people can realistically carry.

Our registered address is in Hamada, Shimane. Work at your site is arranged in advance and agreed in writing. Photographs on this site are illustrative stock images; they do not show our clients, sites or staff.

Consulting is most useful where the work actually happens, and that is rarely the meeting room.

Our perspective

The name reflects the approach: a wide horizon, reached by walking the field first. We start with the floor, the meetings and the people doing the work, because the patterns that explain a problem seldom appear in a report. Findings are then written plainly, and any plan is paced to what the organisation can realistically carry.

What we hold to

01Keeps the number of parallel engagements small so that each one gets full attention
02Spends time on-site before writing any recommendation
03Does not recommend headcount reduction as a first or default measure
04Writes findings in plain language, without softening conclusions
05Concentrates on manufacturing, logistics, and B2B distribution
06Stays involved through the first implementation phase, not just the planning stage
